BINfluencer Helps Local Residents Put the Right Materials in Recycling

BINfluencer is making it easier—and more rewarding—for Sioux Falls residents to recycle right. In celebration of Earth Day, the local sustainability group has launched a new waste directory app designed to help users identify the proper way to dispose of household items. Whether it belongs in the recycling bin or can be donated to a nearby organization, the app delivers quick, localized answers.
The initiative is part of BINfluencer’s broader mission to reduce landfill waste by helping the community make smarter, more informed recycling decisions. By guiding users to place the right items in the right bins, the app supports both environmental goals and community education.
To build momentum around the launch, BINfluencer is also hosting a $250 gift card giveaway to the Washington Pavilion. Residents can enter by solving a recycling riddle on the BINfluencer website.
