Bormioli Pharma Taps Chiesi Group to Create PET Bottles for Medications

Bormioli Pharma is partnering with Chiesi Group to design PET bottles made from Carbon Capture. Intended for perennial allergic rhinitis and vasomotor rhinitis medication packaging, this new solution supports the environment by reducing 21.9% carbon dioxide emissions when compared to traditional PET packaging. This partnership also includes LanzaTech Global and Plastipak, which are supporting the carbon conversion and packaging initiatives. “The agreement we’ve reached with Chiesi to supply one of their products with Carbon Capture PET bottles demonstrates both the performance and safety of these containers, as well as the growing commitment of the pharma industry toward sustainability," said Andrea Lodetti, CEO of Bormioli Pharma. Bormioli Pharma is also known for its other low-impact products which are designed with sustainable packaging.
