Marks & Spencer (M&S) has partnered with clothing repair startup SOJO to launch a new service that enables customers to extend the life of their garments. The 'M&S Fixed by SOJO' program allows shoppers to request repairs online, from zipper replacements to seam fixes, starting at just £5.

Customers ship their clothing to SOJO’s facility, where repairs are completed and returned within a week. Backed by M&S’s £1 million Plan A Accelerator fund, the initiative reflects the retailer’s goal of reducing textile waste by making clothing repair accessible and affordable. The service, which officially launches in August, will integrate into M&S’s broader circularity platform and build on its partnership with Oxfam. It’s designed to encourage customers to keep clothing in use longer, reducing environmental impact while reinforcing product quality and brand longevity.

M&S is shifting toward a service-driven retail model that emphasizes product lifespan. This could deepen customer loyalty, differentiate the brand in sustainability-conscious markets, and encourage industry-wide adoption of circular fashion practices.
