The Co-op Too Good To Waste scheme has been launched by the retailer in the UK to help its various locations combat against food waste and offer shoppers enhanced value for their money. The scheme will offer Co-op Members with 50% off loose in-store bakery items each day after 6pm, which could help to prevent avoidable food waste and also offer a deal for shoppers. The initiative will include such favorites as the brand's All Butter Croissants, Bakery Cinnamon Swirls, baguettes and classic bread rolls, depending on in-store availability.

Co-op Buyer Charlotte Waring spoke on the Co-op Too Good To Waste scheme saying, "As a convenience retailer, we know that we’re there for those little shops at the end of the day, and our new Too Good To Waste initiative is a simple way to help our members save while also reducing food waste – so everyone can enjoy delicious bakery treats and do their bit for the planet. Whether it’s a croissant, cinnamon swirl, or a classic bread roll, there’s something for everyone to love at half price.”
