Eco-friendly pesticide 'Altinco Grinward®' has been launched by Spanish agrochemical company Altinco, offering a sustainable solution with just 20% paraffin oil -- far less than conventional alternatives. This zero-residue insecticide is EU-registered and compatible with organic farming, targeting aphids, whiteflies, and psylla across diverse crops such as citrus, berries, and vegetables.

Unlike chemical-based pesticides, Grinward® acts by contact, forming a suffocating film over pests to prevent resistance development. It also creates a physical barrier on plant surfaces, hindering egg-laying and larval spread. The product has proven effective after eight years of research and over 150 field trials with significantly lower application volumes and environmental impact. Already available in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, and Greece, Altinco projects a 45% export increase in 2025, fueled by demand for sustainable crop protection.

Grinward® positions Altinco as a front-runner in the eco-agrochemical sector. Its low-oil formulation offers a competitive advantage in regulatory compliance and organic certification, appealing to global markets seeking effective yet environmentally sound pest control solutions. This innovation could redefine industry standards in sustainable agriculture.
