Packaging company Constantia Flexibles has launched 'EcoVerHighPlus,' a new mono-material polypropylene laminate designed for coffee packaging. Created in collaboration with Migros Industrie’s Delica AG, the recyclable soft coffee bag includes a mono-PP one-way degassing valve, allowing the entire package to be processed in existing recycling streams. It delivers high-barrier protection for ground and whole-bean coffee, helping preserve freshness and aroma without relying on aluminum or multilayer films. The solution meets the growing demand from retailers and regulators for more sustainable alternatives in food packaging. EcoVerHighPlus also provides strong mechanical durability to maintain shelf presence and extend product lifespan.

This innovation is part of Constantia’s broader strategy to lead in recyclable flexible packaging, aligning with EU packaging rules that increasingly require mono-material designs. Close coordination between Constantia and Delica helped align packaging performance with Delica’s exacting product and machinery specifications, ensuring seamless adoption.

This launch positions Constantia and Delica at the forefront of circular packaging in the competitive coffee sector. It meets retailer and consumer demand for sustainable solutions and may pressure peers to accelerate recyclable packaging innovation.
