Isometric Launches the First Enhanced Weathering Carbon Credits
Kanesa D — January 8, 2025References: carbonherald & isometric
Isometric has launched enhanced weathering (EW) carbon credits as a part of the company's plans to help facilitate carbon removal activity under InPlanet's Serra da Mantiqueira project in Brazil. The company conducted extensive measurements to substantiate the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, verifying claims about product reliability.
As part of its comprehensive evaluation, Isometric employed a robust methodology that included sampling, direct soil and porewater measurements, and chemical analysis across control and treatment plots. These analyses provided definitive evidence of the effectiveness of the Enhanced Weathering (EW) process, confirming its potential as a powerful tool to reduce climate change. These credits are delivered to payment company Ayden, alongside help from ClimFi. Notably, EW credits also benefit soil health, crop quality, and job opportunities for individuals located in remote and rural areas.
