Recycled Orange Peel Garments

Spanish brand Loewe's is officially launching the 2025 edition of its Paula's Ibiza collection, this time harnessing the power of recycled orange peels. Dubbed Citrea, the material comes from a partnership with Pyratex and Orange Fiber and uses 700,000 tonnes of orange peels to create cellulose fibers for clothing. The final product is named Tencel Limited Edition x Orange Fiber.

"The Pyratex Citrea fabric collection, centred on the reuse of citrus agricultural waste, aligns with our Spanish and Mediterranean identity. It represents a new concept of luxury, based on the harmony between sustainability and technological innovation,” Pyratex said in a social media post.
