Porsche has Developed 'eFuels' Made From Renewable Energy

Porsche has developed 'eFuels,' a synthetic liquid fuel made using renewable energy. These fuels are created from hydrogen, which is produced entirely with renewable energy, and carbon dioxide (CO₂), which can be captured from the air.
While Porsche remains focused on expanding electric vehicles—aiming for over "80% of its global deliveries" to be all-electric by 2030—eFuels serve as a valuable alternative for reducing fossil fuel dependence. By providing a cleaner fuel option, they help lower carbon emissions and support the broader transition to sustainable transportation.
To drive innovation in this area, Porsche has partnered with international organizations, including Highly Innovative Fuels (HIF) in Chile. Since late 2022, this collaboration has enabled the large-scale production of eFuels, making it possible to use synthetic fuels in existing vehicles while advancing more sustainable energy solutions.
