US-based remanufactured battery supplier re/cell has unveiled innovative lithium-ion battery blocks crafted from repurposed cells sourced from Tesla battery packs.

These smart battery modules boast an array of advanced features, including an LED fuel gauge for easy charge monitoring, real-time current detection, and a built-in charge alert system. Safety mechanisms are integrated to prevent overcharging or overheating, while the system ensures seamless cell balancing. Additionally, the battery packs support CAN/SMBus communication, enabling continuous monitoring of pack status. The design also incorporates an efficient crossflow cooling system to optimize thermal management.

Expanding its technological footprint, re/cell has introduced a reference battery architecture tailored for heavy-payload drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), reinforcing its commitment to high-performance energy solutions.

The company continues to produce high-quality replacement battery packs compatible with Tesla’s entire range of electric vehicles.
