Water Management Installations

Roca Connect Introduced an Design Immersive Experience in Milan

At Milan Design Week 2025, Roca unveiled 'A Beat of Water,' an immersive installation created with Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) to showcase 'Roca Connect'—its innovative digital water management platform. Set in the Cortile d’Onore at the University of Milan, the installation highlights the urgent need for sustainable water use through design and technology.

Constructed from "300 meters of galvanized steel pipes and regulated by 56 smart valves, the 14-meter-long structure uses real-time water flow data to create a rhythmic, choreographed experience." Every 20 minutes, the system completes a cycle without wasting water, transforming invisible infrastructure into an emotional, sensory journey.

Roca Connect, integrated into bathroom fixtures, allows users to monitor and optimize water use via IoT technology. By combining design with sustainability, A Beat of Water demonstrates how smart systems can inspire awareness and action in conserving one of Earth’s most essential resources.
