Sourceful’s ‘HydroTec’ is the brand’s newest packaging innovation designed to significantly reduce plastic use and carbon emissions compared to regular plastic pouches. Sourceful collaborated with the Henry Royce Institute at the University of Manchester's Sustainable Materials Innovation Hub to design this product. The ‘HydroTec’ paper pouch offers a low carbon footprint choice due to it being curbside recyclable. With water-based barrier technology, the new pouch is perfect for products like pet treats, confectionery, and coffee. It keeps these products fresh for up to 18 months.

“We’re delighted to finally offer our new HydroTec paper pouches after months of research and testing. It represents a much-needed leap forward for paper-based flexible packaging, and it’ll play a critical role in reducing plastic use for countless businesses,” said James Buckley, VP of New Product Development at Sourceful.
