unWOOD is a Sustainable Alternative to Hardwood That Doesn't Harm Trees

unWOOD is arriving as a new industry force focusing on the conversion of hard-to-recycle plastic waste into an alternative for natural wood. Using the company's proprietary process called Intelligent Compounding, unWOOD features a Macro Molecular Fiber Matrix (MMFM) structure that mimics all of the qualities of hardwood without cutting down trees.
Using 500 grams of plastic waste to achieve this feat, unWOOD aims to preserve fullymatured trees by offering a product that can be used in outdoor furniture and school benches, while possessing the ability to be recycled multiple times.
unWOOD also works with NGOs to provide school furniture made from waste plastic, and aims to scale these efforts to include the public infrastructure and design sectors.
