In Europe in early 2026, Garnier is set to debut a skin tint with SPF50 featuring Vitamin Cg, a form of Vitamin C developed via biotechnology from renewable corn and wheat, using 1,000 times less land than traditional orange-derived sources. "This biotech formulation is going to change the industry," said Garnier Brand President Marc Baland. Sustainable benefits aside, the ingredient is also said to share greater stability and skin compatibility.

The biotech-derived Vitamin Cg ingredient has reformulated two hero SKUs, Micellar Cleansing Water and Vitamin C Brightening Serum—the number one serum in the world in terms of units sold, according to market share value 2024 data.

Innovating with High-Tech Nature is the guiding light for Garnier's latest innovations, meeting the consumer demand for high-performance, high-responsibility products.
