Waitrose’s Farming for Nature Programme Supports Farmers in Reaching Net Zero

Waitrose’s Farming For Nature programme is taking a bold step toward sustainable agriculture with a new £500,000 net zero farm fund. This initiative provides grants to over 2,000 British farmers, helping them adopt low-carbon farming practices that reduce emissions while building climate resilience.
The funding supports both small and large-scale sustainability projects, from rainwater capture systems and sustainable fertilisers to low-carbon heating and soil-friendly machinery. By investing in regenerative agriculture, Waitrose aims to accelerate the transition to net zero across its UK farms by 2035 and its entire supply chain by 2050. Farmers can apply for funding to develop practical, nature-friendly solutions that lower their environmental impact while maintaining high-quality food production.
This initiative strengthens Waitrose’s partnership with British farmers, ensuring they have the financial backing and resources to innovate and scale sustainable practices. By bridging the gap between farm and fork, the programme empowers farmers to lead the charge in low-carbon food production, setting a new benchmark for sustainable agriculture.
