Red Cross' Burnt Christmas Tree Pays Tribute to Fires in Australia
Grace Mahas — December 27, 2019This Christmas, Red Cross wants to highlight the terrible bush fires in Australia with the new provocative Burnt Christmas Tree. This tree was crafted from burnt limbs and items collected from fire-stricken areas to raise awareness and donations to help this catastrophe.
The Burnt Christmas Tree is an art installation that "stands as a poignant reminder of what Australia has lost to its flames." However, this tree does show signs of regeneration and since erected, this activation helped raise thousands of donations to support more than 700 bushfire victims across Australia that have lost their homes.
This powerful activation leverages this otherwise festive time of year to call on viewers to help those in need.
