Decomposing Toner Pads

Cosmax has developed an eco-friendly toner pad, the “Flush-it Melting Pad,” designed to biodegrade in two stages. The product maintains its structure during use, then breaks down after disposal through initial water-induced disintegration followed by microbial decomposition.

Made with VEOCEL™ Lyocell, a plant-based, compostable material, the pad has also received flushability validation from the French research institute CTP. Its essence is formulated with 99% naturally derived ingredients, including botanical extracts such as Albatrellus dispansus and thyme leaf, achieving a Natural Origin Index of 0.99 under ISO 16128 standards.

"This product enhances sustainability by considering not only the user experience but also the disposal process," a Cosmax official said. "We will continue to expand K-beauty's competitiveness in the global clean beauty market based on our differentiated technology."
