Daniela Raytchev Crafts a Doll of Jane Goodall Using Discarded Materials
Kanesa D — July 31, 2025Dame Jane Goodall will be commemorated with a unique sculpture made entirely from ocean plastic. The sculpture, made by Slovakian-Bulgarian artist Daniela Raytchev, is dubbed 'All of Me,' and features a composition of recycled ocean plastic sourced from the coastlines of Brazil and Uruguay. Notably, the new ocean plastic doll is insired by the real life Mattel Barbie doll of Goodall, which was released in 2022. Proceeds from the artwork's sale will go to the Darwin2000 and Dame Jane's Roots & Shoots UK project, helping fund a humanitarian education program for young students.
Goodall commented on the artwork's release, stating "Daniela’s sculpture puts the spotlight on the plastic crisis and highlights the importance of working together towards a better future for all.”
