Monarch Butterfly-Focused Conservation Efforts
La Monarca Bakery Supports ECOLIFE Conservation

La Monarca Bakery engages with ECOLIFE Conservation once again to support the organization's efforts in protecting the endangered Monarch butterfly population in Michoacán, Mexico. Throughout April, patrons at the bakery’s 12 Los Angeles locations can contribute $1 to the cause and receive a commemorative badge in return. These badges can either be kept or displayed in-store in order to create a symbolic representation of a Monarch butterfly's habitat. All donations made throughout the month of April will directly support ECOLIFE Conservation's programs, which include sustainable solutions "like building fuel-efficient stoves that reduce forest degradation, improve human health, and protect Monarch habitat."
Last year's partnership between La Monarca Bakery and ECOLIFE Conservation reached $10,000, and the bakery aims to surpass that figure this year.
