Sustainable packaging startup AeroFlexx has announced the securing of two new U.S. patents for its flagship 'AeroFlexx Pak' -- an innovative, flexible liquid packaging solution. The AeroFlexx Pak is a mono-material pouch that behaves like a rigid bottle, allowing for curbside recycling in many areas. It can eliminate up to 85% of virgin plastic compared to a traditional bottle and cap by using 70% less plastic material at the source and incorporating up to 50% recycled content. Despite being lightweight and flexible, the design maintains durability and a familiar consumer experience. Company officials say these patents bolster AeroFlexx’s IP portfolio and validate the Pak’s potential to help brands meet ESG packaging goals by dramatically reducing plastic waste.
