Low-Carbon Mining Solutions

Low-carbon mining takes a major step forward as Betolar Plc teams up with Mandalay Resources, a Canadian mining company, to develop a cement-free rockfill solution for the Costerfield gold-antimony mine in Victoria, Australia. This marks Betolar’s entry into the Australian market, a country where "nearly 60% of export value comes from mining, making it a key location for cleaner and more efficient mining methods."

Betolar’s technology uses industrial by-products instead of traditional cement to fill underground mine spaces. This method helps reduce carbon emissions, lowers material costs, and supports safer, more sustainable mining.

The two companies are currently running tests and studies to confirm the performance and benefits of the solution. If successful, they plan to launch the product by early 2026, offering a more eco-friendly option for the mining industry while maintaining strong performance and safety standards.
