Plastic-Free Cruise Hydration

MSC Cruises has unveiled Aqua by MSC, a new sustainability program designed to reduce plastic waste by phasing out plastic water bottles across its fleet. The initiative is debuting on the MSC World Europa and will gradually be rolled out to every ship in the company’s fleet.

At the heart of the program is advanced, patented Aqua technology, which transforms seawater into safe, great-tasting drinking water directly on board. The system purifies seawater in real time, enhances it with essential minerals like magnesium and potassium, and delivers a clean, refreshing alternative to bottled water. Guests can expect mineral-enriched water that not only meets strict safety standards but also offers superior taste.

By launching Aqua by MSC, the cruise line is reinforcing its long-term commitment to sustainability and reducing single-use plastics, while giving travelers a premium, eco-friendly drinking option that aligns with modern environmental values.
