Plastic Reduction Programs

Ocean Conservancy and GOAL (Green Operations and Advanced Leadership) have launched the 'Protect Where We Play Tour,' a nationwide initiative to reduce plastic waste at concerts and sporting events by implementing a reusable cup program across GOAL’s network of venues. The tour will begin at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas during Coldplay’s concerts on June 6–7 and will continue to major venues including Savannah’s Enmarket Arena for The Lumineers and UBS Arena in New York for two nights of Billie Eilish.

This initiative is projected to "eliminate approximately 1 million single-use cups from the waste stream throughout the summer." Additionally, "Bold Reuse, a recognized leader in sustainable reuse systems, will manage the operational rollout of reusable cups at participating venues."

By promoting reuse over disposability, the tour aims to set a new standard for environmental responsibility in live events, aligning sustainability goals with large-scale audience engagement across the United States.
