Recyclable Paper Tubes
The PaperX FiberTop Tube Can Be Recycled in Conventional Paper Streams
Laura McQuarrie — May 9, 2026Deceptively simple tube packaging—typically involving at least a layered body, a cap and an inner seal—is a component-heavy format in beauty and personal care, but Neopac Group’s PaperX FiberTop tube boasts a body, flat shoulder and paper-based closure that are all made from fiber. As a whole, the entire packaging design contains more than 85% FSC-certified paper laminate and boasts up to 87% less plastic than comparable tubes.
Neopac Group’s PaperX FiberTop tube is certified as technically recyclable in the conventional paper stream. "This first paper tube certification confirms that our PaperX technology enables us to strike the right balance between product protection, design, and sustainability—even under the most stringent recyclability requirements," explains Dr Philippe Kern, Director of R&D and Quality Manager at Neopac. "It is an important step on the way to genuine paper-based alternatives for tube packaging."
