Sustainable Pallet Company Strategies
PECO Pallet Aims to Achieve Net-Zero Emissions by 2050
Kalin Ned — September 29, 2025PECO Pallet has officially formalized a long-term environmental strategy. The logistics equipment provider recently committed to achieving a net-zero emission status by the year 2050. Its initiative will be supported by a third-party assessment of its current greenhouse gas output that serves as a baseline.
PECO Pallet has also established intermediate goals for reducing its direct and energy-related emissions and for diverting waste from landfills. Meanwhile, the company also notes that its lifecycle analysis concluded that its reusable pallet system generates a substantially lower carbon footprint compared to single-use alternatives commonly used in supply chains. The underlying business model of sharing and reusing pallets is presented as an inherent example of a circular economy, which forms the foundation for PECO Pallet's sustainability claims.
A primary driver for this business orientation is the growing pressure from investors, regulators, and end-customers for businesses to demonstrate robust environmental, social, and governance performance.
