BioStar Renewables has collaborated with Seaboard Energy to implement a significant renewable energy solution for Seaboard's renewable diesel production facility in Hugoton, Kansas. The newly operational 15-megawatt solar installation comprises over 27,000 photovoltaic panels. Positioned adjacent to the industrial site, these panels are designed to directly supply clean electricity to the plant's operations through a behind-the-meter configuration.

This solar infrastructure has the capacity to generate approximately 30 million kilowatt-hours annually, which is sufficient for potentially offsetting more than 21,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions each year. This number is comparable to removing 4,600 passenger vehicles from roadways.

BioStar Renewables served as the comprehensive development partner for the initiative and oversaw the engineering design, equipment procurement, and construction management to deliver a turnkey renewable energy system that aligns with the renewable diesel production facility's sustainability goals.
