Canada Goose Expanded Its Resource Centre Program to Alaska

For the first time, Canada Goose expanded its Resource Centre Program to Alaska, distributing more than 14,000 pounds of fabric and sewing materials in Kotzebue and Nome in partnership with regional carrier Ryan Air. Since 2009, the Canada Goose Resource Centre Program has supplied more than two million meters of fabric to more than a dozen Northern Canadian communities, diverting surplus materials from waste as part of a circular business model.

The Alaska activation included community distribution events, a live sewing demonstration by Inupiaq seamstress Precious Gray and children's parka-making workshops at the Katirvik Cultural Center. A local maker auction also raised funds for the Western Alaska Disaster Relief Fund.

Canada Goose shows how redirecting surplus materials to Indigenous makers can reduce waste while preserving traditional craft practices.
