Shipping is an essential part of the modern economy that is also quite wasteful, so the Shell Starship Class 8 has been developed to help offer a new vision for the near future. Developed by the AirFlow Truck Company in partnership with Shell Lubricants, the truck is outfitted with a series of fuel-saving technologies that offer ways to curb emissions. This includes a bespoke cab with carbon fiber elements, solar panels on the top to power essential electrical equipment and an overall aerodynamic design that helps it slice through the air as it travels on the road.

The Shell Starship Class 8 shipping truck was unveiled at the Shell Make the Future event and will be part of a coast-to-coast drive test in the US starting next month.
