Urban Gleaners' 'Supper Series' Highlights Upcycled Ingredients
Kanesa D — March 13, 2025Urban Gleaners is a non-profit organization focusing on minimizing food waste and food insecurity. As a part of the brand's mission to highlight sustainable food practices, it is launching the 'Supper Series' to celebrate upcycled ingredients through chef-prepared meals, with all proceeds helping minimize wasteful practices. The first installment, scheduled for April 6, will see Urban Gleaners' Central Eastside warehouse turned into a fine dining establishment featuring menus by Sam Smith of Yaowarat and Louis Lin of Xiao Ye.
The tickets, priced at $250 per person, include wine pairings, a multi-course meal, and a welcome cocktail.
“It’s not just an opportunity to experience incredible food—it’s a chance to support our mission of raising awareness about food waste, sustainability and food insecurity,” said Nico Niebes, executive director of Urban Gleaners, in a press release.
