Mango Invests in New Fashion Line The Post Fiber
Georgia Wray Norsten — July 2, 2025Spanish fashion retailer Mango announced an investment in The Post Fiber, a startup that recycles post-consumer textile waste into new fibers, as part of launching its first clothing collection made with those recycled fibers. The initiative, revealed on June 30, involves Mango’s Teen line: the upcoming collection will incorporate material sourced from The Post Fiber’s processes, closing the loop between old garments and new production.
Mango is the first major brand to back The Post Fiber through its startup accelerator, Mango StartUp Studio. By using fibers from disposed clothing, Mango aims to reduce reliance on virgin cotton or polyester and cut garment waste. The company frames this move within its broader sustainability strategy, which includes ambitious goals for a circular economy. The Teen collection with recycled fibers is expected to debut soon, offering trendy styles that subtly showcase how fashion waste can be reborn into fresh looks.
