'UNtrash It' is the latest sustainability-driven initiative launched by Uniqlo in collaboration with Piece of Cake Moving and SuperCircle. Announced during Earth Month, this program aims to tackle the growing problem of textile waste by helping customers recycle unwanted clothing during moves or major life transitions. With clothing waste topping 92 million tons annually, the initiative introduces a practical, no-cost solution that brings recycling closer to everyday life.

Customers booking moves with Piece of Cake will receive UNtrash It bags to collect clothing they no longer want. These items are then directed into Uniqlo’s existing Re.Uniqlo take-back program, where SuperCircle manages sorting, donation, upcycling, or recycling. For those not relocating, clothing can still be dropped off at any Uniqlo location nationwide, ensuring access for all.

By simplifying the recycling process, UNtrash It supports Uniqlo’s broader circular fashion strategy. The initiative reduces landfill waste and emissions and encourages a shift in consumer behavior, positioning clothing as a renewable resource, not disposable waste.
