FIGS Launched the 'Scrubs That Don’t Suck' Recycling Program

FIGS, a leading global healthcare apparel brand, has introduced 'Scrubs That Don’t Suck', the first-ever year-round medical apparel recycling program, in collaboration with circular fashion innovator SuperCircle. This initiative aims to reduce textile waste by providing healthcare professionals with a convenient way to recycle used scrubs.

Following a successful one-month pilot program last year—which diverted 45,000 pounds of scrubs from landfills—FIGS has partnered with SuperCircle to make scrub recycling a permanent offering. Healthcare professionals can participate by recycling their used scrubs through mail-in services or at FIGS Community Hub locations in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. As an incentive, participants receive a $50 credit during April for Earth Month or a $25 credit throughout the rest of the year.

To mark the launch, FIGS will host a three-day recycling event in Houston from April 4-6, allowing the local healthcare community to take part in sustainable apparel disposal.
