Watson's Introduces an Eco-Friendly Store Makeover

Watsons is accelerating its sustainability journey by converting four of its Bonifacio Global City branches into Watsons Greener Stores, reinforcing its position as a leader in environmentally responsible retail in the Philippines. This expansion follows the successful launch of its pilot Greener Store in San Pedro, Laguna, in June 2024.
The Greener Stores initiative is designed to deliver meaningful environmental benefits by integrating low-impact practices across operations. These include reducing carbon emissions, conserving water, minimizing waste sent to landfills, and offering customers a wider range of sustainable product options. Each store is outfitted with sustainable materials and eco-conscious design elements, such as LED lighting, inverter cooling systems, and fixtures made from recycled or responsibly sourced materials.
In addition to infrastructure upgrades, the stores incorporate ongoing recycling and waste reduction programs, as well as carbon offsetting strategies that contribute to Watsons’ broader global sustainability goals.
