AGF Defcom Crafts 3D-Printed Suppressors Using Upcycled Metal Powders
Kanesa D — January 21, 2026AGF Defcom, a manufacturer of firearms, barrels, and related accessories, is using metal 3D printing to produce suppressors more efficiently. To support this approach, the company has partnered with 6K Additive to introduce a closed-loop recycling system for metal materials.
Through the program, leftover manufacturing scrap—solid metal and unused powder—is recycled using 6K Additive’s UniMelt® microwave-based technology and returned as high-quality metal powder suitable for reuse in production. This process reduces waste, lowers material costs, and helps ensure a fully domestic supply chain.
"[...] While partnering with 6K Additive ensures a premium domestic supply, the ability to upcycle our scrap is the real game changer. We have successfully transformed what was once a logistical and financial burden into a high-value asset that directly improves our bottom line," said Zoltan Kovacs, owner and CEO of AGF Defcom.
