AL Circle and Wanji Holding Group have initiated a strategic collaboration to foster sustainable innovation across China’s aluminium value chain. Under this partnership, AL Circle—an industry-focused digital ecosystem—and Wanji Holding Group—a diversified conglomerate operating in coal, power, metallurgy, chemicals, and building materials—will jointly develop solutions for low-carbon aluminium production. The collaboration encompasses data-driven market insights from AL Circle’s platform and Wanji’s operational expertise in aluminium processing, aiming to optimize energy consumption, enhance recycling rates, and reduce greenhouse-gas emissions in primary and downstream aluminium manufacturing processes.

Laboratory trials and pilot projects arising from the partnership will target two primary areas: first, the integration of advanced smelting technologies and renewable-energy sourcing to lower the carbon intensity of primary aluminium; second, the deployment of digital-tracking tools and closed-loop recycling protocols to maximize scrap recovery and reuse. By combining AL Circle’s analytical capabilities—such as benchmarking carbon footprints and forecasting supply-demand dynamics—with Wanji’s manufacturing scale, the partners expect to demonstrate at least a 15% reduction in overall energy use and a 20% increase in recycled-aluminium content in finished products by 2027. These joint initiatives align with China’s national “3060” carbon-neutrality targets and seek to establish replicable models for sustainable aluminium operations in other major markets.
