CYKLO from Vinylize — a brand that specializes in creating eyewear from repurposed materials — is stunning consumers with the material composition of the eyeglass temples, which utilizes bicycle brake cables.
The CYKLO collection launches with three models, each named after "key performers of Queen's popular 'I Want To Ride My Bicycle' song. They are Mercury, Deacon, and May. The eyewear silhouettes are also made available in a selection of four colors.
Vinylize presents the design approach of its CYKLO collection as both an aesthetic choice and a statement on sustainable manufacturing. In addition to the recycled bicycle brake cables, the frames themselves continue the brand's signature practice of utilizing old vinyl records for the front portion of the glasses.
