Bioforcetech, RDD, and Virus Inks have formed a collaboration to develop circular, carbon-negative textile materials aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of apparel production. The initiative focuses on transforming waste-derived resources into functional textile inputs, supporting more sustainable material systems within the fashion industry.

Central to the partnership is 'OurCarbon,' a carbon-negative material developed by Bioforcetech through a process that converts treated sewage sludge into a stable carbon product. Instead of being disposed of as waste, the material is repurposed for industrial use. In this collaboration, Virus Inks incorporates OurCarbon into a sustainable black screen-printing ink designed for textile applications.

RDD will apply this ink within advanced textile production and garment design. By replacing conventional fossil-based pigments with waste-derived carbon, the collaboration demonstrates how recovered materials can support lower-emission manufacturing processes while promoting circularity, resource recovery, and more environmentally responsible approaches to textile production.
