Carbon-Neutral Crypto Exchanges

HOYA BIT Announces Significant Milestone with New Certification

HOYA BIT — a Taiwan-based cryptocurrency exchange — has reportedly become the world's first carbon-neutral crypto exchange. The company received BSI ISO 14068-1 carbon neutrality certification, a standard that requires full life-cycle emissions disclosure, a verified reduction pathway, and third-party auditing.

The venture, thus, integrates carbon governance directly into HOYA BIT's operations. The carbon-neutral crypto exchange has adopted the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) methodology and invested in Gold Standard carbon offset projects that prioritize renewable energy. The company will measure its progress toward sustainable development goals.

HOYA BIT Founder, Zoe Peng, shared: "The digital asset industry can respond to market expectations for governance, accountability and transparency in an internationally recognized and verifiable way. The key to industry maturity is not just functional innovation — it is consistently demonstrating, through verifiable actions, that a platform can be trusted."
