Electric Beer Transport Fleets

Carlsberg Electric Beer Partnered with Einride
Colin Smith — May 15, 2025Carlsberg Sweden has expanded its sustainability initiatives through a partnership with freight technology company Einride, aiming to electrify up to 40% of its transport operations across southern and western Sweden by the end of 2025. The collaboration will see the deployment of eleven electric trucks integrated with AI-controlled charging infrastructure, which is expected to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with the logistics chain. By transitioning from conventional diesel-powered vehicles to electric alternatives, Carlsberg Sweden intends to lower its transport-related carbon emissions substantially, supporting broader industry efforts to adopt cleaner technologies in freight operations.
In parallel with the transport electrification strategy, Carlsberg Sweden is set to launch a limited-edition, alcohol-free beer that underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability. This new product is distinguished by its production, brewing, and distribution processes, all of which are powered by 100% renewable energy. The beer packaging will include a QR code that provides consumers with access to data on the brewing process and the planned transport route, thereby offering transparency on the role of electrified logistics in reducing the product’s overall environmental impact.
