Sandals Resorts Promotes Coral Restoration in the Caribbean
Debra John — June 6, 2025In observance of World Ocean Month, Sandals Resorts International—together with its philanthropic affiliate, the Sandals Foundation—has announced the strategic expansion of its coral restoration initiatives throughout the Caribbean. Newly launched programs in The Bahamas and Curaçao now join established conservation efforts in Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and Grenada, reflecting the brand’s deepening commitment to safeguarding the region’s marine biodiversity.
These enhanced offerings include immersive guest experiences centered on reef rehabilitation, allowing participants to actively contribute to the restoration of fragile coral ecosystems. All proceeds from these optional experiences are directly reinvested to support and scale ongoing marine conservation work.
Further reinforcing its role in sustainable tourism, Sandals Resorts continues to operate one of the Caribbean’s most robust scuba diving programs. With certified PADI dive centers on-site, guests of all skill levels can enjoy daily dive excursions, including specialized coral restoration dives at select properties—bridging leisure with environmental stewardship.
