Expanded Organic Food Providers

Edible Garden AG (Nasdaq: EDBL) has expanded its distribution network into the Chicagoland region through a new partnership with Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets, a family-owned grocery chain operating ten stores. As part of the rollout, Caputo’s will carry Edible Garden’s USDA-certified organic products—including fresh potted herbs, hydro basil, wheatgrass, and pickles—supported by the company’s proprietary self-watering in-store racks and dedicated basil display units. These display systems are designed to extend produce shelf life, reduce shrink, and uphold Edible Garden’s Zero-Waste Inspired® mission by minimizing on-site food waste.

The agreement adds ten retail locations to Edible Garden’s Midwest footprint, building on its New Jersey greenhouse operations and enhancing regional market penetration. Angelo Caputo’s long-standing reputation for quality and customer loyalty provides a strategic platform for Edible Garden’s controlled-environment agriculture offerings. By leveraging locally grown, organic products and advanced display technology, the partnership aims to optimize logistics, reduce transportation distances, and meet growing consumer demand for fresh, sustainable produce.
