TotalEnergies has officially inaugurated its largest European solar project: a 263 MW complex comprising five solar farms in Andalusia, Spain. The project will generate approximately 515 GWh of clean electricity annually, supplying power to over 150,000 households while avoiding 245,000 metric tons of CO? emissions annually.

Located near Seville, the solar field was constructed with the involvement of 14 companies, over half of which were local, and created more than 800 direct and indirect jobs. Much of the electricity output is secured through long-term power purchase agreements, while the remaining energy feeds into the national grid. The solar installation is part of TotalEnergies’ goal to reach 35 GW of global renewable capacity by 2025. Regional authorities declared the site a strategic energy project, aligning it with Spain’s ambition to reach 80% renewable electricity by the end of the decade.

This milestone reinforces TotalEnergies’ transformation from fossil fuels to renewables. The project strengthens its presence in Europe’s clean energy market and supports long-term revenue diversification.
