Garnier x Gold House Expand Green Grants for AAPI Sustainability
Georgia Wray Norsten — May 6, 2025Beauty brand Garnier USA and nonprofit Gold House have doubled down on their 'Gold Green Grant' program supporting Asian Pacific American climate innovators. In Los Angeles on May 5, the partners announced three new grant winners – Climate Cardinals, Global Coralition, and Protect & Preserve Hawaiʻi – who will share $60,000 in funding, up from $30,000 last year. Along with funding, recipients gain mentorship from Garnier executives and exposure through Gold House’s influential network.
The projects range from youth climate education (Climate Cardinals) to reef restoration art installations (Global Coralition) and native ecosystem protection in Hawaiʻi (Protect & Preserve Hawaiʻi). Garnier’s president Amy Whang noted the initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainability and inclusivity, especially empowering the Asian American community in environmental action.
