Happy Ocean Foods Shifts its Focus to a Clean Protein System

Munich-based Happy Ocean Foods has announced a strategic pivot away from its plant-based seafood alternatives to focus on a new innovation platform: the Clean Protein System. The first two launches under this system, Ocean Touch and Umami Touch, are crafted to offer high protein content, minimal ingredients, and versatile usage.
Ocean Touch features protein flakes made from pea protein isolate and rice flour, enhanced with microalgae oil and available in natural and lemon-herb flavors. With 21 grams of protein and omega-3s per 100 grams, it is ideal for cold or lukewarm dishes. Umami Touch, a cube-style protein with 22 grams of protein per 100 grams, is made with pea and fava bean proteins and comes in spicy and Mediterranean flavors.
“With our deep expertise in wet extrusion and functional protein blends, we’re creating ready-to-use, allergen-free protein bases for modern foodservice concepts. These components are made to simplify kitchen processes while maximising flavour, texture and nutritional value – to deliver on every level,” the company wrote on LinkedIn.
