CrossWorx's LITE 290 eBike Boasts an Aluminum 7020 Frame
Colin Smith — July 2, 2025The CrossWorx LITE 290 is a short-travel trail bike built around 29-inch wheels and 130 mm of progressive rear suspension travel, mated to a 140 mm (or optional 150 mm) fork. Its 7020-series aluminum frame features a steep 78° seat-tube angle, a low center of gravity and a redesigned linkage that raises the shock within its travel for improved support and a drive-neutral character. The bike incorporates double-sealed bearings, internal cable routing, ISCG05 mounts and dual bottle-cage bosses, offering both durability and adaptability on a wide range of singletrack and flow-trail conditions.
Produced in the Thuringian Forest of Germany, the LITE 290 combines in-house welding, painting and assembly with a competitive starting price of €5 499. A size L complete build weighs approximately 14.3 kg and accommodates custom geometry, paint and component options upon request. By retaining frame fabrication and finishing domestically, CrossWorx delivers a boutique-manufactured trail bike that balances modern performance features with localized craftsmanship and configurability.
