MAKA Motors, founded in 2022 to accelerate Indonesia’s journey toward self-sufficiency in automotive technology, has introduced its first locally designed electric motorcycle, the MAKA Cavalry. Built around a 4 kWh battery integrated into a reshaped downtube, the Cavalry delivers up to 160 km on a single charge under real-world conditions and accelerates from 0–60 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The motor generates a continuous output of 9 kW with 251 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 105 km/h and an incline ability of up to 30°, while a 20-liter under-seat storage compartment accommodates daily essentials.

Designed for varied Indonesian road profiles, the Cavalry features multiple ride modes—including a Hi-Regen setting that converts kinetic energy back into the battery—precise throttle response, dual adjustable shock absorbers, dual-disc brakes, and full LED lighting. Integrated USB-A and USB-C ports support on-the-go device charging. Priced at IDR 35.85 million (OTR Jadetabek, pre-subsidy), the launch underscores MAKA Motors’ commitment to domestic manufacturing and sustainable mobility. The company’s development has been supported by a US $37.6 million seed round led by East Ventures and SV Investment, positioning the Cavalry as a catalyst for Indonesia’s expanding electric vehicle ecosystem.
