Gojek is Set to Launch Electric Taxi Services in Indonesia

Gojek, a key platform under Indonesia’s GoTo Group, has partnered with electric taxi provider Green SM to introduce GoGreen SM, an eco-conscious ride-hailing option now available within the Gojek app. This integration allows users to seamlessly book Green SM’s electric taxis, marking a significant expansion of Gojek’s four-wheeled transport offerings.
The initiative is part of a larger movement to promote clean transportation and reduce urban air pollution across Indonesia. By advancing the adoption of electric vehicles, the partnership contributes to the nation’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions in the coming decades.
Deny Tjia, Managing Director of Green SM Indonesia, emphasized that the service aims to make sustainable transport more accessible to the public while actively supporting government-led climate goals. The collaboration signals a unified push from both companies to embed environmental responsibility at the heart of everyday mobility solutions.
