Yutong Bus Announced Progress on 'Net Zero Forest' Initiative
Debra John — April 25, 2025Yutong Bus, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in Asia, has announced notable progress in its 'Net Zero Forest' initiative during the '2025 World Earth Day' celebrations. Central to Yutong’s sustainability and ESG-driven CSR strategy, the initiative pledges to plant one tree worldwide for every bus added to its fleet, directly linking commercial expansion with ecological restoration.
Following the planting of "over 36,000 trees across China, Chile, and the United Kingdom in 2024, Yutong aims to increase this figure to 47,000 trees in 2025, supported by a decade-long global expansion plan." The 'Net Zero Forest' initiative operates under a 'Double Carbon' model, simultaneously promoting zero-emission bus adoption and large-scale afforestation. Moreover, by pairing vehicle sales with environmental action, Yutong fosters a transparent, sustainable value chain and actively engages stakeholders in collaborative climate efforts.
