ONLY Unveils a Recycled Polyester Shirt Line Using Textile Waste

References: knittingindustry & only

Bestseller’s women’s brand ONLY has launched a new line of basic jersey tops made from recycled polyester sourced from textile waste, marking a step forward in the company’s sustainability strategy. Developed in partnership with textile recycling innovator Re&Up and Turkish supplier Deniz, the program reduces reliance on virgin materials and incorporates recycled fibers into core collections. The initiative supports Bestseller’s broader goal of embedding recycled materials into best-selling, long-lasting collections.

Re&Up’s advanced technology separates cotton and polyester from discarded textiles and regenerates them into high-quality fibres. In this first production run, 11 styles have been transitioned from conventional to recycled polyester, resulting in more than 100,000 t-shirts made from waste rather than new resources.

Most of the new tops are currently available in ONLY retail stores.
