National EV Charging Associations

The Indian Charge Point Operators Association — or the ICPOA, for short — has consolidated key players in the electric vehicle infrastructure sector into a unified industry body aimed at accelerating the development of a robust national charging network. This coalition, which is structured as a non-profit entity, seeks to function as a central advocate for the electric automotive industry.

The Indian Charge Point Operators Association will focus on facilitating dialogue with government regulators, establishing technical standards for interoperability between different charging systems, and promoting thoughtful consumer education initiatives. The entity strives to shift the perception of charging infrastructure from an ancillary concern to a foundational element essential for widespread electric vehicle adoption. In doing so, the association will effectively support national goals for cleaner transportation and reduced carbon emissions.
